Why It Happens
Mould is a moisture problem first.
Mould grows inside a car when moisture has nowhere to go. Common causes across Sydney include leaking door and window seals, sunroof drains, wet carpets after rain, spilled liquids, coastal humidity, flood-affected vehicles and cars left closed up in storage for months at a time.
Because mould spreads into carpet backing, seat foam and air vents, surface wiping rarely solves it. Treatment needs to reach the affected material — and the moisture source needs to be identified so the problem doesn't return.

In most cases affected interior surfaces can be treated and deep cleaned. The outcome depends on how long the mould has been present, how far it has spread and the materials involved — which is why we assess each vehicle individually.
How much does car mould removal cost in Sydney?
Mould removal starts from $350. Final pricing is subject to vehicle size, condition and the extent of contamination. Send photos and we'll provide an assessment before any work is booked.
What causes mould inside a car?
Trapped moisture is the usual cause — water leaks through seals or windows, wet carpets and floor mats, spills, humidity, flood water, or a vehicle left closed up and unused for long periods.
Is the treatment safe for my interior?
We select products and methods according to the materials involved — leather, fabric, alcantara, carpet and hard trims are all treated differently. Where a surface can't be safely treated we tell you before starting.
Will the mould come back?
Mould returns if the underlying moisture source is not fixed. If we identify a likely leak or damp source during the assessment, we'll let you know so it can be addressed.
